Dirt E. Dutch - The Unconditional (Instrumental) (megaranmusic.com)
At the end of last year Dirt E. Dutch re-emerged from his dusty catacomb to release Mostly Ill but Sometimes Sick, an EP with long-time collaborator Atari Blitzkrieg, which hit #1 on the Amazon Music charts in the experimental hip hop category. He followed that up with co-producing a single for Kyle Rapps titled “Mrs. Huxtable” with the help of the rising producer Chris Keys, and most recently Dutch was a featured producer on the double vinyl release of the critically acclaimed album Private Stock by Cavalier. Now he has teamed up with the label of one of his personal favorites Mega Ran to present The Unconditional, an immersive and diverse slice of instrumental Hip-Hop.

The Unconditional reveals Dirt E. Dutch to be a gifted and versatile sound architect, creating self-contained soundscapes that stand on their own. The project runs a gamut of styles, from rugged to smoothed-out. However, Dutch’s signature gritty funk, formulated from layers of rare micro-chops, custom drum kits and synths is retained throughout. Anime illustrator Senta provides the cover art, which is a portrait of Dutch’s real-life family dressed as the Hashira - the nine most powerful demon slayers in the manga series, Kimetsu no Yaiba.
