7/20/21 (1st Tuesday) – .smallz. approaches Hogg with handpicked Big Lo beats from the 1982 series and suggests they do a mini-album with an emphasis on first-take, raw recordings. Hogg agrees and they write and record the first two songs.
7/21/21 – .smallz. contacts Big Lo in an effort to get his blessing on said project.
7/23/21 – Big Lo responds. The project is a go. The dude is proper (seriously, peep the links and go follow him on all your socials).
7/27/21 (2nd Tuesday) – Hogg says he’s not feeling well, suggests texting each other verses for the day. The next three songs are written this way over the course of a few hours (with ample time for snack and smoke breaks). Hogg records his verses.
8/3/21 (3rd Tuesday) – The sixth song is written and recorded, while .smallz. also records his verses for songs three through five.
8/10/21 (4th Tuesday) – .smallz. is in Chandler, AZ visiting family, so once again he & Hogg trade verses via text and complete the last two songs. Hogg records his verse for song seven.
8/17/21 (5th Tuesday) – .smallz & Hogg record their final verses during the morning hours, while the evening is spent choosing samples and tracking in all of DJ 001’s scratches for… more
