ackson Whalan - Ambient Boom Bap (feat. D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C.) (jacksonwhalan.bandcamp.com)
"Ambient Boom Bap (feat. D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C.)" is a dark, lyrical, underground hip-hop cut. D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C., the featured emcee on the track, has been a mentor to me over the years when it comes to and learning the craft of rapping. The collab is an intergenerational exchange. It's symbolic for both of us, who reside in Berkshire County, MA, where an unsung legacy of great hip-hop has been created over many years, by artists such as The Arcitype, Dominik Omega, J Soul, and many others. I aim to put Berkshire County, MA (the 413) on the map, and to have D.R.A.M.A.T.I.C.'s voice be heard.

lyrics

Yo Dram
What's good
You ready to go?
I'm always ready to go
Let's get it
So you wan't me to drop it right here?
Yeah

No need for alarm
Unless you got something I'm aiming for
I'll give what you looking for
As soon as they say it's on
Still a rap phenom
The silence before the storm
The dark knight taking lives well into the morn
Unfaded since the hiatus life put me on
When they said that I was gone
Y'all must have took it wrong
My mind flex like a closed fist punch to the groin
And bygones will never ever be bygones
This fire could end a career, Dylon
B diesel and arrest, miscreants with that Krylon
Drop any beat and watch dramatic get that fly on
World on my shoulders these are hard shoes to try on
Shackle you bastards
Crushing bones for practice
Never scared
Trust me bro you don't wanna take it there
I ain't got a second to spare
It could end anywhere
On the stalk like Beans
And you can feel it in the air

I'm the lab crafting fat beats fresh pressed
Cuz the rap game is a mess like Fyre Fest
I'm coming after whack rappers like the IRS
Real life not a test
Y'all should start lying less
Your mind erased from the lean and the Xanax
So I'll be the one rocking shows for your fans next
Navigating through this maze
I keep it lit like line arrays while you sabotaging
All the dreams you trying to chase
The bar is set low that's what we trying to raise
We keep it timeless even though
These are the final days
I'm amazed by the ones who only follow trends
Receiving praise surrounded by some hollow friends
I got a lot to say and ain't no way to keep it bottled in
Losing's not in the vocabulary got to win
Student of the culture studying the fabric
It's ambient boom bap with Jacks and Dramatic
