Poppa LQ - Why Hate Me (1995) (youtube.com)
From the album "Your Entertainment, My Reality" Produced by Joseph Johnson

Rap-A-Lot Records, 1995.

Central rapper Kenneth "Poppa LQ" Green got his introduction to the rap
game by releasing his first CD, Notes of a Native Son, on Island
Records in 1989, and his second solo disc, Your Entertainment My
Reality, in 1995. Between solo sessions, Poppa LQ spent time hanging out
with heavy hitters like Tech N9ne, Yukmouth, and fellow Regime rapper
Mad Maxx, among many other rap luminaries. Impressing many with his
tight lyrics and smooth flow, Poppa LQ was even asked to guest on Kurupt
and Snoop recordings. A member of West Coast crews, M.O.B. and DBA
(including Cool Nutz and producer Bosko, who together released Doing
Business As... in 1999 for Universal). The DBA single "Fa Sheisty Cats"
featured WC and Kurupt, who combined their considerable talents with
Poppa LQ to create an underground smash. Poppa LQ also operated his own
Po' No Mo' Entertainment company.
