Baron Samedi is an MC, Producer, part-time astronaut and amateur grizzly bear wrangler, from London, England. He has been deep in the game for over 10 years now, initially working on demo projects with early crews The Terrarists and Mandroids, before exploding onto the UK scene in the early Noughties with his crew Undercurrent’s debut CD, Sons Of Celluloid, and his own solo debut Spit Happens: The Musical, which is still heralded as an underground classic by many. Since then he has released a further solo album, the critically-acclaimed Ripping Yarns in 2006, as well as the Animal Rites mixtape, and the Pirate Radio EP and the Crisis Talks mixtape as part of Undercurrent. Most recently, he has fully produced fellow North London MC Grit Grammar’s debut album Life Music, which has been garnering rave reviews from all quarters, as well as securing airplay on DJ Target's Homegrown and Charlie Sloth's hip hop shows on Radio 1xtra, and Tom Robinson's Introducing show on BBC 6 Music. 2010 finally sees the release of Baron's new album Wanderland. Entirely self-produced, Wanderland is set to be a tour-de-force of forward-thinking intelligent hip hop, which is both musically and lyrically unlike anything else out there in an ocean of bland formulaic music. If you don't know, get to know – the future is here...
